THE FESTIVAL

Three stages, a 50ft licensed bar in a giant 180ft marquee, The Blockheads and other fantastic headline artists, a selection of food from around the world and that’s just on the Saturday. Friday sees the return of the sell out comedy night in the main festival marquee and for the first time this year Thursday is The Get Real Festival with the best in local bands taking to the stage.

The bar will be serving Real Ales as a whole selection of other drinks at unexpectedly reasonable prices.

The Real Music Festival really is an event where everybody wins. It is a value for money event bringing big name artists to the district in the fields of comedy and music and raising greatly needed funds for Farleigh Hospice.

The Real Music Festival is organised by a committee of volunteers plus support workers and professionals appointed by Farleigh Hospice [keep the link here to the hospice website] and an army of volunteers who help us with everything from pitching marquees to fencing, marshalling and clearing the site. We couldn’t put on this event year after year without the tremendous support of the community and our sponsors and you the audience who are all part of making a real difference and putting on a great event.

This year will be the fifth year that Farleigh Hospice has run this event and it has been growing year on year. It’s new home in the historic and central location of Maldon’ Promenade Park provides the perfect venue for its continued growth. Come along and enjoy this year’s festival and see what you’ve been missing out on, secure in the knowledge that your support of the festival is helping to provide care for patients in Mid Essex.
